We often find in our exterior building science inspections most homes don’t have large enough gutters. Your gutter system on your home needs to be designed to handle the large volumes of water that your roof footprint captures. It is crucial that you have enough downspouts to make sure your gutter system can’t overflow. An extra downspout on a gutter that collects large volumes of water from two conjoined roof planes leading to a valley can make a dramatic impact on the water management efficiency of your draining system.

Sometimes our clients think they need new gutters but all they needed is a little repair work on their gutter system. We won’t try to sell you something you don’t need.
